My newest book illustration endeavor:
Bee Sculpture
Every year Greenfield, MA celebrates bees at its May Bee Fest. This came about from the fact that Lorenzo Langstroth, the inventor of the bee hive that is still in use today, was the minister of the Second Congregational church in Greenfield in 1853. Greenfield has decided to become the “Bee City” and now has 9 painted bee sculptures around town. I was honored to paint this one-The Quilting Bee-that now sits in the beautiful garden in front of the Greenfield Savings Bank drive-thru building.
Book
In 2018 I illustrated a children’s book written by local author Marian Kelner. Nipper the Zipper (a kangaroo) and Howdy Tattoo (an armadillo) learn from a dolphin the dangers of ocean pollution. They then devote themselves to working with others to eliminate plastics from the shores of our oceans, lakes, and rivers.
This book is available on Amazon and at the Shelburne Arts Co-op, Shelburne Falls, MA
